Event Description
Freedom Run is a patriotic summer "kick off" race through East Cambridge that's hosted by the East Cambridge Business Association (ECBA) and sponsored by the Cambridgeside Galleria.
What we'll be doing Waterstop: pre-pouring water in cups, handing water to runners, raking up used cups Finish Line Water Stop: Handing out bottles of water to runners Bag Check: greeting runners, organizing bags after they are dropped off ID Check: greeting runners, attaching wristbands after security company checks IDWhat you should knowVolunteers will receive an event shirt + free admission to the post race party with Slumbrew, Notch, Nightshift, and Downeast Cider (ALL beer & food is complimentary for party goers).One Brick Boston will be a VIP area set up next to Slumbrew in the post-race party area!
Where to meetVolunteers should see their Event Manager, Dave, at the volunteer table at Cambridgeside Galleria food court at 8:00 am. The Cambridgeside Galerica Mall is located at 100 Cambridgeside Pl, Cambridge, MA 02141 (enter via food court entrance, near Sears @ corner of 1st St. & Thorndike St.) Please arrive by 8:00 am

Description
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, One Brick is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that brings volunteers together to support other local non-profits by adopting an innovative twist to the volunteer experience: we create a friendly and social atmosphere around volunteering, and after each volunteer event -- which typically lasts only 3 to 4 hours -- we invite volunteers to gather at a local restaurant or caf where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting.
Our 'commitment-free volunteering' allows you to choose when you volunteer, rather than having to make commitments for a certain number of volunteer hours, or agree to be available every week at a specific time.
