This year has been an incredible year for our VCI Cyber-Seniors program! We successfully completed two sessions and are finishing up our third session. Testimonials include older adults texting for the first time, victory over isolation and loneliness, and motivation to volunteer and get involved in the community.
This could not have happened if it were not for the dedicated students who spend their invaluable time and effort in mentoring our older adult participants. To continue impacting our community, VCI Cyber-Seniors is actively seeking volunteers for upcoming sessions that run from June to August.
Why do it alone ? Bring a friend and share this great opportunity with them! Contact me with the location and dates of which you are available to volunteer as a mentor.
Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity to give back to the community by sharing your skills and knowledge of technology. Together we can bridge the technological gap that isolates our older generation from our younger generation.

Description
We are the leading organization for senior volunteerism in the greater Central Florida area, serving Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. Just last year, 1,186 caring adult volunteers gave 438,683 hours of service. That is more than $9.5 million dollars worth of volunteer service being poured back into our communities.
Previously known as Florida Senior Programs, VCI has been the sponsoring agency for the REtired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Foster Grandparent Programs since 1977. Our 36 year presence has proven our aptitude for providing meaningful and impactful volunteer experiences.
VCI provides membership benefits and support to volunteers aged 55+, at no cost to the volunteers or their volunteer stations. Just a few of the benefits of membership include: Supplemental insurance while volunteering, a dedicated coordinator, and matching to find the perfect position to fit the interest of the volunteer.
