Mentor Position Description

The Boys & Girls Club of Tustin is looking for dedicated role models to mentor our youth. Mentors will meet once or twice a week (depending on schedule) at our club for an hour or longer with their mentee between the hours of 3 and 5pm. The program is designed to be "one on one" and to assist club members with various activities around our club. These activities can include playing games and activities, learning and practicing new skills and hobbies, helping with homework, and setting aside time to listen and give positive advice or feedback. Mentors and mentees will build a positive and impactful relationship. All mentors will receive training and ongoing support. Mentors will assist members (mentees) in improving their academic and social skills.

Mentoring Program

These sessions can be held Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and may vary in time depending on each activity or assignments. Flexibility will be provided to mentors upon request, but consistent commitment of attendance is a must. Mentors will be matched with mentees prior to the program. If mentors wish to be paired with more than one mentee, they have the option of mentoring up to two mentees.
