Together, we can do anything

The KeelWorks foundation seeks to support upward mobility for the economically disadvantaged. Fundraising, for most of our 15-year history, has been secondary, and we need to change that. We are looking for someone with an interest in a career in this area, and the time and intelligence to support this effort.

We have salesforce for sending out newsletters, texting for donations, and classifying donors, we have a team developing a monthly newsletter, we are redesigning our website (currently ineffective), we have a database of supporters, we have the beginnings of a team. We have a small team supporting grant research/grant writing. We also have a team to develop strategy for fundraising.

The volunteers we seek for this position have some experience in fundraising or have the time and interest to learn and take charge of this challenge. The incumbent will need the ability and interest in developing a program, leading others, designing process and process assets, and be ambitious enough to want to build a career in fundraising. This experience may end up leading to a paid position, if the incumbent can raise significant funds. I can also help this person qualify for paid work elsewhere. If this person performs well and raises sufficient funds, this will be the first paid employee at the foundation.

All volunteers will work from home using Google Meet and Chat to collaborate. This person will supervise volunteers recruited for this effort.

About KeelWorks Foundation

Location:

2398 WEST BEACH RD, OAK HARBOR, WA 98277, US

Mission Statement

To support a better world with better citizens by fostering learning competence, emotional intelligence, and networked intelligence. KeelWorks especially wishes to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe. We are building a system to support upward mobility.

Description

We are a charitable non-profit virtual foundation. Founded in 2009, we've worked with over 300 graduate students and past students helping them bridge the gap from education to gainful employment while helping KeelWorks build a structure for people needing change. Our goal is to be the equalizer, bringing those on the outside looking in to the inside. Our goal is to end poverty across the world, changing one life at a time. Our special approach involves grouping people for mutual support, teaching core competencies, and supporting goals with objective progress metrics and team accountability, We hope to build a structure for change that can be replicated hundreds and thousands of times. We don't give participants fish, but hope to teach them to fish for themselves.
