Continental School District in Green Valley needs 1-2 volunteers who like to be around books, can bend over/down to access shelves, have an eye for detail (reading call numbers and spine labels is required), although we do train everyone on our shelving system and review all procedures. It's not rocket science. But, things need to be put in their right spot and everything has an address in the library! It also helps if the volunteers like to be around children ages 5-14. All volunteers need to commit to one year and are able to work at least 2 hours each week for 9 months.

The mission of the Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse is to place volunteers with organizations that need their help.
Description
The Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse was created to promote volunteerism in the Green Valley - Sahuarita Arizona area. The Clearinghouse works with 50 organizations, referring volunteers to them and helping them recruit and retain volunteers. The Clearinghouse was created under the auspices of the Pima Council on Aging, the Green Valley Council, and the Joyner Green Valley Library. It is staffed by volunteers and is led by an active advisory board. the Clearinghouse annually sponsors a "Volunteer Showcase."
