Description
Founded in 2015, Arising Youth International is a nonprofit organization providing services to youths in the United States and Kenya. AYI establishes community programs that surround young people with various opportunities for positive engagements. Our skill building pro-gram provides youth with opportunities to enjoy innovative and fun leadership activities where both learning and personal development occur. To ensure a rich experience for all participants, our activities are carried out by persons with back grounds in child psychology, vocation, social and religious ethics, education, community leadership and volunteers.
Arising Youth International of Nairobi’s Youth Education Sponsorship (YES) Program connects sponsors with under-privileged students who are unable to pay for an education and are desiring to attend high school or college . With the help of our YES Program and willing sponsors, students are given the opportunity to move forward by furthering their education beyond primary school.
The AYI Performing Arts Program uses performing arts as a vehicle to move youths forward in personal development. Through dramatic performances, Arising Youth International brings attention to personal responsibility and awareness to the following social issues: overcoming societal issues, AIDS/HIV, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and the roll of education in achieving a brighter future.
