This Spring, in celebration of the Bicentennial, the Indiana Historical Society will mount an exhibit on T.C. Steele and publish a Deluxe 50th Anniversary Edition of its book, House of the Singing Winds: The Life and Work of T.C. Steele. To add another layer to the Bicentennial celebration, Storytelling Arts of Indiana and the Indiana Historical Society have commissioned Lou Ann Homan to develop a story based on T.C. Steele.

Hoosier painter T.C. Steele captured the gentle, natural beauty of Indiana like no other artist. Hear how his rural upbringing taught him to view the world with a painter’s eye; and how his unique vision of Indiana’s landscapes has forever shaped how Hoosiers view their state.

To pull of this event Indiana Historical Society is in need of volunteers to assist with event management. Volunteers will assist with registration, crowd management and other misc. set up tasks. Those who volunteer can also attend the event for free.
