Bright Futures Joplin is looking for long-term project volunteers to help with the donation center initiative: Darla's Room.
The Bright Futures Joplin Initiative, Darla's Room, focuses specifically on meeting the immediate clothing needs of K-12 children in the Joplin Schools. We collect clothing through clothing drives and miscellaneous donations.
STUDENT NEED AMBASSADORS
Student Need Ambassadors are part of the larger team, Darla's Room Team. They focus specifically on gathering, boxing, and distributing the immediate needs sent in by teachers and counselors.
Requirements: Discretion and confidentiality, maintain accurate records, report client needs to staff members; must become FERPA trained, will provide; must be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel, will train the right person; Understand how Gmail works and be able to navigate the email account
Responsibilities: Become familiar with the Joplin School District's Dress Code Policy, the Joplin School District's school supply list, as well as the General Pricing Guideline for Darla's Room; periodically check the Bright Futures Joplin email account for incoming student needs requests; select and pull items for requests; box/bag items for delivery; file and maintain proper paperwork
