OFT is looking for an Outreach Advocate Angel who will be able to accompany our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness to their appointments within Orange County, to include medical and county agencies. This role also requires you to be an advocate for the individual at their appointments. Many times our homeless needs and concerns are overlooked because they are homeless or a mental illness hinders them from effectively communicating in a timely manner. This is where you come in. You will be their voice and make sure their needs are met and concerns addressed. You will need to establish a friendship with them and understand their needs to properly assist at their appointment. It may also be necessary to navigate medical referrals and make sure this is done in a timely and efficient manner.
Please Note: The appointments can be made according to your available schedule in a timely fashion. You will pick up our brother or sister experiencing homelessness at a preset meeting location that is convenient to them. You will drop them off at same location. Previous outreach experience with the homeless population is preferred. This is an extremely rewarding position that can truly make a difference.

Our Father’s Table has a solution that breaks the cycle of chronic homelessness, one person at a time. Our work is important because it addresses homelessness at its cause knowing chronic homelessness is a symptom of a deeper-rooted problem. OFT changes lives, by giving a hand up, not a hand out! Our work is cost effective and it does not create another program. Our unique approach puts us in the center of their life as mentor, advocate & most importantly genuine friend giving unconditional love & guidance.

Our Father’s Table is the conduit between the homeless services & agencies and our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness. Our Care Navigators understand the homeless system of services, the nuances for their points of entry, criteria for eligibility into their programs, the paperwork, applications & their best practices.
OFT’s Care Navigators are mentors & advocates who work with the chronically homeless to move them off the streets & back to being a productive citizen of our communities, ending the cycle of homelessness.
To date we have lifted off the streets over 375 chronically homeless and 95% have successfully broken their cycle of homelessness.
