The Edmonds Sister City Commission is seeking volunteers to fill openings on the commission. Qualified applicants have strong interest or experience with Japanese culture and can commit to a three year term. Commissioners facilitate an annual student exchange with Sister City, Hekinan, Japan. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month. Other duties are assigned during the annual exchange which takes place during the first two weeks of August.
Applicants participate in an interview process and are selected, in part, based upon their skills as they apply to the commission’s mission, functions, and current and ongoing projects. Visit http://www.edmondswa.gov/sister-city-get-involved.html for more information.
