Camp Erin brings much needed bereavement support to children aged 6-17 who have experienced loss. Camp is free of charge for all campers. Led by grief professionals and trained volunteers from Seasons Hospice, Camp Erin provides a unique opportunity for peer bonding between children and teens facing a similar life circumstance. This weekend long experience is filled with traditional, fun camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support.

We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in going to camp. Please see the volunteer roles described below:

Cabin Big Buddies (CBB): Cabin Big Buddies are trained volunteers responsible for the children in their cabin.

1. Pre-Camp: CBBs are required to attend the "Save Your Spot" event, which allows them to meet and get to know the campers they will be responsible for at camp.

2. Camp Weekend: Cabin Big Buddies are onsite the entire weekend. CBBs assist with the welcome and registration process by greeting campers and their families. Because CBBs are responsiblefor campers at all times, CBBs may NOT have a dual role at camp.

Grief Activity Facilitators (GAFs) volunteers who are therapists, school counselors, social workers, etc. Grief Activity Facilitators plan and lead a grief activity during camp in partnership with the Camp Director and/or Clinical Director. Grief Activity Facilitators can serve on other committees as long as there is no conflict in scheduling.
