Empowerment Resource Center is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate individuals to help us provide high-quality programs and services across the communities that we are privileged to serve.
Volunteer opportunities fall into two categories: Community Office Support and Specialist. Community Office Support volunteers will perform a variety of tasks, depending on project deadlines, including but not limited to answering phones and other administrative tasks.
Specialist volunteers will serve as Clinic Intake Specialists and Research Assistants.
Clinic Intake Specialists will assist in the provision of HIV and STI testing services, health education and health literacy, risk reduction counseling, capacity building, client advocacy, and supportive services in the Comprehensive Intervention Clinic. Typical volunteer activities include day-to-day clinical and non-clinical operations, maintaining records, conducting field studies and community outreach activities, program evaluation, and client interviewing.
Research Assistants will assist in data collection, analysis and evaluation for ERC’s programs and services. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Research Analyst to conduct and analyze data relative to research in specialty areas. Typical volunteer activities include entering required variables into EvaluationWeb, recommend technology-based solutions, and analyze large datasets for clinical or basic programmatic and research purposes.
If you are interested in a great volunteer experience, please call Sherrie at (404) 526-1145 ext. 126.

Mission Statement
The mission of Empowerment Resource Center is to provide programs, services, and community-level solutions that improve the health-related quality of life for the communities we are privileged to serve.
Description
Empowerment Resource Center (ERC) provides health-related programs and services, more specifically HIV and STI prevention education, risk reduction counseling, testing, referral, and treatment services, client advocacy and navigation services, and primary care linkages. ERC focuses on a broader array of services, assisting both individuals infected and affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.
We provide programs and services on-site at our Comprehensive Intervention Clinic, at satellite locations, and through the ERC on the M.O.V.E. (Mobile Outreach Vehicle) program. The clinic offers low-cost health care services and is a registered clinic with the Georgia Medical Composite Board, a participating clinic under the Georgia Volunteer Health Care Program, and a nationally recognized STD clinic under the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration 340B program.
