We're in need of a highly organized and creative coordinator to recruit, train, and manage volunteers based on project and program needs, and manage two community events per year using assigned volunteers and leadership team. You will most certainally be challegend and get to create from scratch. Ideal for a talented person that's bored in his/her day job, and wants to contribute to a great cause.

Newark Parks Foundation mobilizes financial and community support to deliver thriving, accessible, supported, and varied parks, open spaces, and recreational opportunities for a healthy and united Newark.
Description
Newark Parks Foundation will support new and existing parks, open spaces, and recreation in and around Newark, California, for the enjoyment and benefit of the citizens of Newark. The Foundation will do so by:
- Organizing volunteers to build and/or maintain parks and park amenities/structures.
- Organizing user groups to identify the community’s unmet recreational needs.
- Applying for grants to support the Foundation’s capital projects and, as needed, right-of-way leases.
- Identifying partnerships between surrounding cities and park districts.
- Publishing articles to generate public support for parks and to educate the general public on the state of parks and recreation.
- Sponsoring/organizing park support events, including trash pickup events.
