The Young Women's Resource Center is looking for one volunteer to assist with meal preparation from 4:30-5:30 for our Young Mom's & Childbirth Education groups that take place every Wednesday evening. Volunteer duties include re-heating or warming entrees and preparing different side dishes as needed. An ideal candidate will be a flexible and independent worker who is comfortable in a kitchen working with and preparing food using an electric stove-top and oven while also adhereing to food safety guidelines.

Description
The Young Women's Resource Center serves more than 1,600 young women each year through our 13 programs, including: support groups, individual counseling, and in-school and after-school programs.
Founded in 1978, this non-profit agency provides gender specific services to all young women ages 10-21 in central Iowa. Founder Louise Noun and other community leaders believed young women needed a safe place to receive support, education, and advocacy. A wide variety of services surrounding perinatal services and prevention services are provided in schools, community organizations, and at the Center.
