We operate an adoption center 7 days a week, volunteers are needed for adoption events, transport of animals to and from shelter, walking dogs, kitty care, dog wash, building maintenance, volunteer recruitment, grant writing, computer work, training, fundraising, donation requests, photography, crafting and social media. We use meetup to manage our volunteer activities. Please go to www.meetup.com/garlandpaws to sign up for a selected event. All volunteers must go through a training class before volunteering at the Pet Adoption Center.

Mission Statement
Save the lives of dogs and cats brought to the Garland Animal Shelter by taking the adoptable animals out of the shelter and finding them a forever home Raise awareness for the need of a new animal shelter for the City of Garland. Provide pet education information - spay/neuter; general health; training; TNR.
Description
Non profit all volunteer group that has partnered with the City of Garland to increase the animals adopted out of the city shelter. We operate an adoption center in downtown Garland 7 days a week, along with outside adoptions with community groups. We provide pet food for Meals on Wheels recipients in Garland, manage Garland's TNR program and provide education and assistance for Garland citizens as needed. We also have fun with fundrasing events and community involvement events like Christmas on the Square.
