We are looking for two energetic couples to staff a fee collection booth from approximately mid May to mid September. Enjoy a hidden jewel in Western Connecticut! Hop Brook Lake (operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) is a 532 acre park located in the towns of Middlebury, Naugatuck and the city of Waterbury. The park sees annual visitation of 288,492 visitors whom enjoy swimming, picnicking, hiking, fishing and biking in the well maintained recreation area.
Duties include collecting fees, possible minor maintenance and litter collection duties, answering visitor’s questions and being the first friendly face our visitors meet. Volunteers will be asked to work a minimum of 20 hours per week,in exchange for full hook up RV camp site (Cable and internet not included).

Description
Hop Brook Lake and Dam located are in the towns of Naugatuck, Waterbury, and Middlebury, Conn. The recreation area is open the weekend before Memorial Day weekend and closes the weekend after Labor Day.
Opportunities for recreation at Hop Brook Lake include over seven miles of trails winding through woods and fields. Canoes, kayaks, and rowboats are welcome on the lake, however motor boats are not permitted.
Fishing is also welcomed at Hop Brook Lake. The lake and its feeder streams are stocked with brown, brook, and rainbow trout. Bass and panfish are also found in the lake.
Tables and grills are available for picnicking. Picnic shelters (four sites) may be reserved for group use. The beach and swimming area are especially popular during the warm summer months.
