We have a 10,00 sq/ft warehouse full of furniture and household items just waiting to be unpacked, cleaned, and neatly organized. Clients are able to come and shop the warehouse for free so we try to keep it as organized as possible. If you like keeping household items organized, this is the right activity for you!
TIME AVAILABLE FOR WORK IS 9AM UNTIL 2PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
Some of the volunteer activities could include:
- Unpacking donations
- Organizing warehouse
- Sanding, painting, and fixing gently used pieces of furniture
- Picking out donated items for clients (choosing their furniture, kitchen items, etc)
Individuals who need service hours are welcome, within certain guidelines. You must provide your court order prior to volunteering.
Hours are strictly 9am until 2pm, M-F.

Description
In order to effectively address homelessness in America and impact a long-term solution to this problem, people transitioning out of homelessness need help with stability. At Home Sweet Home, we believe part of that stability comes from establishing a first home stocked with the necessities for everyday life. Part of maintaining a home is usability and affordability. We can help make taking the first step to stable home life comfortable and accessible.
Our services will include pick up of donations by truck, working with case managers at partner agencies to get clients access to furniture, and delivery of new and gently-used furniture and household items to client apartments and homes.
