In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together! Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills and cooperation with others.
In partnership with committed adults; girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives -- like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle (GSCFP) provides volunteer training as part of its commitment to girls. Volunteers have the opportunity to develop their skills, increase their knowledge of the Girl Scout program and help girls Discover, Connect, and Take Action in their communities and in their world. GSCFP believes that prepared adults are key to the success of the Girl Scout movement. Girl Scout volunteers bring special talents and expertise that enrich the Girl Scout program for girls.
Flexibility is the key for Girl Scout volunteers. Whether you have an hour, a day, a weekend or more, the energy you share with Girl Scouts will instill in girls confidence that will last a lifetime. We're looking for volunteers who represent the diversity of the world we live in -- men as well as women, senior citizens as well as younger adults, people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds and, of course, our treasured alumnae. As a Girl Scout volunteer you will share in the fun and excitement as girls experience new challenges. The girls and the community will benefit as you help girls build esteem and decision making skills. Join Girl Scouts today!
Troops are forming, activities and events are being planned and we need you!
