8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Hellyer County Park

Festival in the Park is a free, family-oriented event created to inspire and excite people to take charge of their health through fitness, fun and adventure.

Festival in the Park is attended by more than 5,000 people and featured over 130 exhibitors. To support this massive event, County Parks needs volunteer assistance in the areas of visitor and exhibitor hospitality, exhibit set-up and teardown, Kid Zone attendants, water station technicians, general cleanup and more.

If volunteering on Friday, please meet on the Cottonwood Lake side of Hellyer County Park, near the playground. If volunteering on Saturday, please meet at the Cottonwood Lake park entrance. Hellyer County Park is located at 995 Hellyer Avenue in San Jose. Pre-registration is required. When registering, please indicate which day and shift(s) you want to volunteer. No special skills are needed. Please bring sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a water bottle. All registered volunteers will receive a confirmation notice prior to the event, including a map and final details.

Description

Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
