Looking for experienced self-starter and finisher to work closely with the Director of a small local charity and as sist with coordination of up to 2 fundraising events per year. The ideal candidate may work from home or our South City office, set their own schedule, and attend occassional meetings called by the Director.

Event Planning, Production & Promotion

Assist with negotiations for space contracts and book event space, arrange food and beverage, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, make travel arrangements, order event signs, and ensure appropriate décor (florals, linens, color schemes, etc.).

Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help Director make decisions about event possibilities.

Assist with event promotion

Create and revise room layouts for each event.

Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary.

Prepare nametags, materials, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seating cards, etc.

Close out all events as required.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.

Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.

Skilled at promoting via social media

Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.

Uke Go Girl! is a 501c3 nonprofit organization for girls that offers free ukulele, vocal, and songwriting instruction with a focus on empowerment, creative expression and building self-esteem.

Description

Uke Go Girl! is a FREE week-long intensive beginner ukulele workshop for girls 12-16 that blends instrumental, vocal, and songwriting education with a focus on empowerment, creative expression and building self-esteem. No musical experience is required. There is no cost for this workshop and ukuleles, cases and supplies are provided for girls in need.
