As a trail volunteer you will help us keep the trails safe and sustainable. You will clear trash, brush, and fallen logs from trail ways; clean, repair, and construct log or rock drains; install log or rock retainer bars/steps and checks and/or construct foot and stock bridges from native materials. You will also construct and maintain trail structures; construct new segments of trail; and perform rehabilitation on heavily impacted sections of trail.

A charitable organization in support of education, health, and environmental projects for the youth and adults of Somervell County and adjacent counties.
Description
The LDL Educational Resource Foundation was founded in 1993 by three Glen Rose Elementary School teachers (Liz Sherrell, Dorothy Gibbs, and Leta Yocham) who sought to fulfill a need in their community by assisting in providing health care and education to the families in Somervell County. A year later, Friends of Dinosaur Valley State Park Gift Shop was opened to fulfill the environmental commitment to the LDL foundation. The LDL foundation has donated over $1,000,000 worth of support to Dinosaur Valley State Park during the past 22 years. The proceeds of every purchase at the gift shop benefits Dinosaur Valley State Park in their efforts to provide ongoing environmental education.
Dinosaur Valley State Park has a very active volunteer community. Volunteers perform a wide range of duties from cleaning the bathrooms, leading bird walks, cleaning dinosaur tracks, working the front desk, to volunteering at events.
