****PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSTING IS FOR GROUPS ONLY****
We currently are not able to provide training for individual volunteers & training is required (even if you've had other types of training as we train on safety policies around our specific shelter). If you're an individual that wants to volunteer, please check back at a later time, or follow our facebook page (www.facebook.com/nbarthebronx) or website (www.nbanimalrescue.org) for updates on when we will be able to accept individual volunteers.

Are you part of a community like a school or local organization that wants to volunteer to help animals?
We are looking for people to help us walk our dogs, socialize with our pets, clean cages, help run fundraising events, and more.
New Beginning Animal Rescue is the only no-kill Shelter in the Bronx.

All volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

New Beginning is the only No Kill Shelter in the Bronx. We receive no city funding so we are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to help keep this shelter running. We need Volunteers to walk dogs, socialize, and/or clean cat cages. We are also seeking volunteers to help with adoption events, such as bringing dogs and cats to PetSmart and/or Petco. Once you decide to become a volunteer, we ask that you dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per month to the shelter. This also applies to groups. The training lasts about an hour and a half and is done the second Saturday & Sunday of every month. Once you receive the training you are welcome to come in any day of the week. The shelter is open from 9am-6pm every day.

New Beginning Animal Rescue, Inc., formerly known as NYC’s Top Dog, is a non-profit organization and animal shelter in Bronx, NY, that prides itself in its dedicated to pet adoption and its "no-kill" policy. The organization is the only one that exists in the Bronx and is volunteer-based. The shelter takes in unwanted, abandoned, abused, and stray animals, and finds suitable homes for each of them. The shelter also helps better the community with programs that help the homeless, troubled teens, and young students.
