Do you enjoy helping children and their families learn together in a fun, engaging environment? Did you spend time at the Virginia Discovery Museum as a child and want to give back to the next generations? Looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to be a kid again? Then you may be the perfect fit to be a Gallery Volunteer!
We are looking for helpers to maintain the galleries, prep and run programs, assist with birthday parties, and assist with administrative tasks that help keep the museum running each day. Ages 15 and older.

Description
The Virginia Discovery Museum is a hands-on children's museum for youth to enjoy learning and playing with their families. In addition to permanent child-based exhibits for visitors to explore, the Virginia Discovery Museum also holds a number of educational programs and special events throughout the year. With the Sponsored Admission program developed in collaboration with local schools, social service agencies, cultural institutions and governing groups, VDM aims to be a resource for as many families in the Charlottesville community as possible.
