The Review Panel Member serves as part of an independent review panel convened by Family League of Baltimore to rate and score proposals submitted in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP). This panel represents experience and knowledge in the fields of human service provision and programmatic oversight of the types of services and resources being developed.
Review Panel Members are required to live, work, or attend school in Baltimore City. Family League continually seeks Review Panel Members from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds to provide diverse perspectives in the funding process. Particular emphasis is placed on recruiting volunteers who are older youth (age 14-18) participants or parents of youth participants in programs funded by Family League.
We seek volunteers from the community who can commit to approximately 15 hours (per funding cycle) of reading grant proposals, scoring them, and providing feedback. Occasionally, in-person training and scoring/decision-making sessions may be required. Volunteers will be able to opt in or out of participation in review panels during each funding cycle, based on invidual availability.

Mission Statement
Family League of Baltimore serves as an architect of change in Baltimore by promoting data-driven, collaborative initiatives and aligning resources to create lasting outcomes for children, families and communities.
Description
Since 1991, Family League of Baltimore has mobilized resources, empowered communities, and built the capacity of organizations to provide children and families with high quality programs and services that help them reach their full potential. We use our deep experience in resource management to collaborate with stakeholders to improve opportunities across our city. Our goal is that by 2030, all children in Baltimore will be born healthy, succeed academically, graduate high school and transition into higher education and the workforce.
Family League of Baltimore funds 77 community-based organizations to do this work, and utilizes data to effectively measure these outcomes. In 2016, Family League granted $16,525,000 to organizations to help fulfill its mission of creating lasting outcomes for children and youth.
