An Emergency Vehicle Operator makes up part of the ambulance crew by driving to and from a scene in the ambulance, while also providing assistance to the EMTs. Uniforms and training are provided at no cost to the volunteer.

Description
The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, PFARS, is the primary provider of Emergency Medical and Technical Rescue services to Princeton and Princeton University in Mercer County, New Jersey. Founded in 1939, we are a volunteer-led, non-profit department and not a division of any hospital or municipality. PFARS is staffed 24 hours a day by approximately 90 rigorously trained volunteer and career personnel. PFARS offers its members the NJ Emergency Medical Technician course and other advanced medical and operational courses to maintain a cohesive and trained membership. Members of the community who are interested in volunteering with the Squad are encouraged to visit www.pfars.org, e-mail recruiting@pfars.org, or call (609) 924-3338 to learn more about EMS, technical rescue, and administrative opportunities.
