Nit-pickers and general maintenance

We need individuals for both indoor and outdoor cleaning. These jobs can include: light pruning, dead heading, weeding, sweeping, watering, repotting, planting of plants and annuals, leaf clean up, insect control and mulching. The areas covered are the Greenhouse, Conservatory, Butterfly House, Pollinator garden, Patio, Gate Lodge and Poly houses. We can schedule to individual area and length of stay. Average stay time 2-4 hours anytime between 8am and 3pm. This has year round availability.

Mission Statement

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens’ mission is to preserve and share our historic estate and serve as a resource for educational, cultural and recreational enrichment.

Description

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is the former home of early industrialist and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company co-founder, F.A. Seiberling, and his wife, Gertrude. The 65 room Tudor Revival style mansion designed by Charles Schneider was built between 1912-1915 and today encompasses 70 acres of restored gardens originally created by noted landscape architect Warren Manning. After 40 years of occupancy, the Seiberling heirs helped create the non-profit foundation which has operated the museum since 1957. Stan Hywet is accredited by the American Association of Museums and is listed as a National Historic Landmark and an Official Project of Save America's Treasures. Tours are offered daily from 10am-4:30pm April through December along with seasonal special events.
