Save the Water is seeking a skilled and passionate Director of Science and Engineering. Are you ready to join an organization where you can make an extraordinary impact everyday? Are you a highly successful professional? Save the Water has an exceptional volunteer opportunity for the role of Director of Science and Engineering.

You will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Science and Engineering Group through the research and collaborate closely with the founder of the Save the Water organization. This tremendous opportunity to gain first hand experience, increase your knowledge in the field, and an opportunity to work in the lab once it opens in the near future .

Directors are expected to put in a minimum of 12 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

• M.S. in Engineering Management or equivalent work experience in Scientific field.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.

• Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.

• Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department

• Required knowledge water treatment applications such as, but not limited to: nanotechnology, Contaminants of Emerging Concern and Desalination

• Comprehensive knowledge of E.P.A. regulatory environment required.

• Based in South Florida a plus, but not required.
