Purpose: The position of Volunteer Programs Assistant provides administrative and detail oriented clerical support to the Transition-in-Place and Supportive Service for Veterans and Families (SSVF P1/P1B), supporting the organization’s mission of successfully transitioning homeless veterans and their families through housing, career development, case management, and comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities:
The Volunteer Programs Assistant assists both programs with completing, digitizing, and archiving client files and providing general administrative support on department projects.
Audits paper client files for accuracy.
Uses agency equipment to digitize and catalog paper client documentation.
Assists both teams with client service follow-ups.
Makes reminder phone calls to other volunteers who are assigned to projects for the following day
Records donations that come in and enters them in the database
Helps prepare bulk mailings
Prepares correspondence as needed
Other duties as assigned
