If you love working with kids and ending childhood hunger, volunteering at a Summer Meals site is a perfect fit for you!

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a USDA program that helps kids who rely on free and reduced-price school meals to continue receiving healthy food during the summer. Any child under 18 can receive a free meal. Many sites do not have the capacity to run their SFSP program by themselves...and that's where you come in!

Volunteers will:

  • assist with meal distribution
  • assist in counting the number of children receiving meals
  • play with and entertain children while they are visiting the site!
  • assist with meal clean-up
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must provide references and pass background check

Volunteering at a Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) site is a gratifying way to make a difference in the lives of children while working towards ending hunger. We hope to hear from you soon!
