Troop Leaders and Co-Leaders are needed in Calera and surrounding areas for all levels, but especially for the Daisy Level (K-1st grade).
The most popular way that girls want to participate in Girl Scouts is as a member of a troop. Troop leaders have the privilege of leading girls on a journey to new discoveries about themselves, others, and their world. Girl Scout leaders help girls develop skills that will last them a lifetime. It only takes a minimum of 5 girls and 2 unrelated adults to get a new troop started.
As a troop leader or co-leader, you choose the age group you would like to work with. Girl Scout experience is NOT required and training will be provided. Troops meet in various locations, on various days and times - all based around the volunteer's schedule. Troops may meet as little as once per month or as frequently as once a week, again dependent on the volunteer's schedule.
