Maymont is recruiting volunteers to assist with one of our most popular events- Dominion Family Easter! This year our Easter celebration will be held on Saturday, April 20st. A variety of volunteer positions are available all day so whether you are interested in greeting, counting, or providing customer service to guests, or crafting, face painting and playing games with kids, we have a job for you!
At this point we are primarily scheduling volunteers for the 12:30-4:30 shift. Groups spots are still available. Youth are welcome to volunteer but spots are limited and any volunteer age 15 and under must volunteer with an adult. Email volunteer@maymont.org for more information or to sign up!

Description
Maymont was the 100-acre Victorian country estate of Major James H. and Sallie May Dooley. The Dooleys completed their opulent mansion in 1893 and spent the next three decades creating the gardens, landscapes and outbuildings you see here today. Upon Mrs. Dooley's death in 1925, Maymont was bequeathed to the City of Richmond . Attractions for visitors added over the years include the Nature Center, Native Virginia Wildlife Exhibits, Children's Farm and Carriage Collection. Since 1975, Maymont has been maintained and operated by the private non-profit Maymont Foundation.
