Volunteer to help S.T.E.A.M. students perform the musical "Hairspray". Here are some of the behind-the-scenes tasks:
- Sewing skills
- Vocal skills
- Carpentry
Students performing are in the Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Mathematics program. The play will be performed in April at Ferguson Elementary School in York, with the assistance of Grace Fellowship Church.
As an age 55+ volunteer, you are eligible for:
- Transportation reimbursement up to $35 / month
- Supplementary accident and liability insurance
- Camaraderie and recognition

The program improves the quality of life in the community by providing the assistance of volunteers in support of nonprofit agencies/programs across all generational lines.
Description
RSVP of the Capital Region East currently offers volunteer opportunities in Lancaster, Lebanon and York Counties. Our goal is to provide volunteer opportunities throughout the senior's volunteer life, changing to meet her/his needs and interests.
Our volunteer opportunities are focused in four main categories:
- Healthy Futures
- Education
- Disaster Preparedness and Response
- Veterans and Military Families
RSVP also provides transportation supports to assist senior volunteers in their endeavors.
