We are looking for caring, considerate Christian teens to join our growing international community service fraternity - Nu Sigma Theta. Christian ladies and gentlemen (ages 13-19) would be considered part of BETA KAPPA- Pledge Line KAPPA (The Revolution)!

Nu Sigma Theta was formed to do random acts of kindness and formal acts of community service on virtual, local and global platforms and all of what you will be asked to do can be done from your home. This opportunity is primarily for those who like to write and have a social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc). You may be asked to write letters to (or sign cards for) young people in other countries, or to young people who are facing great challenges (bullying, discrimination, homelessness) or significant crises. You may be asked to sign a petition to protest an injustice. You may be asked to take a survey. You may be asked to "like" the Facebook pages of charities to help them increase their virtual presence, or "retweet" an encouraging scripture. You might be asked to contribute a couple of sentences towards a "community letter" that we might send to organizations or world leaders. Virtual opportunities pop up every day, so there are many possibilities. You can also suggest a project as long as it is virtual in nature. Candidates who apply from New York, New Jersey or North Carolina may be invited to "physical" community service projects.

You can be a member for as long as you’d like and can resign at any time. This opportunity looks great on college applications and even resumes and can be used to earn community service hours (as long as you are actively participating). In addition, the networking opportunities are outstanding, as we have men, women and teens from: AZ, Benin, CA, China, CT, DC, FL, India, Indonesia, KY, MA, MD, Mexico, MI, NJ, NY, Nigeria, NC, PA, Poland, Saipan, SC, TX, VA, and WV. Our goal is to have at least one member in every US state and as many countries as possible by the end of 2016.

As Christians, our mission is to share the Love of God with as many people as we can using every available method that we can. Even if you are not currently active in your church, if you identify as "Christian", you can still apply under this opportunity.

If you are interested, please email us at info@sigmathetas.org and tell us

  1. Your full name (if you use a fictitious name, we will only verify your service under the name you give us).

  2. Your birthday (we shout everyone out on their special day).

  3. Your city and state

  4. What church you attend. If you don’t attend right now, please just state "I am a Christian".

  5. What you want to be once you graduate from school.

  6. If you have a pet and would like for us to recognize him/her on their special day, please send us their name, species and birthday.

  7. If you have a child, and would like for us to recognize him/her on their special day, please also send us their name, species and birthday.

We will send you our privacy policy and once you respond to that email, we will send you an official welcome to the organization that includes your organizational "line name" (nickname) and our list of projects for February.
