ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

Care Teams can be made up of a group of friends, neighbors, or family members. This is a perfect way for colleagues, church groups, clubs, and classmates to serve together. All sizes of groups can be accommodated.

What will we do?

Each client’s needs are unique. Many clients need help with cleaning tasks they are unable to complete due to mobility issues or declining health. Many need a ride to complete important errands such as grocery shopping or doctor’s appointments. Some need help with things like keeping up their yard, taking a pet for walks, or connecting them with social activities. Volunteer Services works with the group to identify tasks that they are excited to help with, and to match them with clients they are able to connect with.

What is the time commitment?

Groups can serve one to two hours once a month, a few times a month, or weekly. The group members can rotate who will help each time. A point person for the group will want to ensure that members are identified for each date committed. Volunteers can go individually, in pairs, or as a whole group, depending on the needs of the client and the member availability.

Where will we volunteer?

There are people in your area who need assistance! Volunteer Services will identify with the group the geographic area you would like to serve in, and make a match in an area that is convenient for you! To get your group signed up, email vc@ccsww.org,
