Welcome to the Santa Monica Airport ArtWalk 2016! Visitors will explore open studios, watch art and ceramic demonstrations, participate in art and theater workshops, and enjoy live music and food trucks in the airport’s converted airplane hangars.

Information Booth volunteers will greet visitors, hand out maps, and answer questions. If you’re comfortable interacting with the public and have good communication skills, please join us. Training, snacks and water will be provided.

Clothing: Neat, casual clothing with sneakers or comfortable shoes. Hat, coat and sun screen as needed.

Date and time: Saturday, March 12, 2016
Two shifts beginning at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

Length of Commitment:
First shift: Training at 11:30 AM; shift at 12:00 - 2:00 PM
Second shift: Training at 1:30 PM; shift at 2:00 - 5:00 PM

Age: 18 years and older

Mission Statement

The Santa Monica Airport is responsible for operating a safe, secure, sustainable and community compatible general aviation airport. The airport is operated in compliance with all federal, state and local requirements and guidelines. Airport Administration oversees all facets of the Santa Monica Municipal Airport operations including: enforcing curfew and noise regulations; administering all airport leases, fees and user charges; acting as liaison with the neighboring community and Airport Commission; and maintaining the runway, taxiways, tie down areas and City administered buildings.
