Feeding A Community is looking for volunteers interested in becoming part of a dedicated team for 2016. Team members will be asked to be available to service 10 community feedings in 2016. Some would need to be available to assist in apartment community events as well. The feedings will take place quarterly, in two locations in the Houston area.

All teammembers will need to attend the Charitable Feeding Certification Class on February 20th at 1212 Prairie or any third Saturday of each month from 12 - 1:30 pm.

The feeding dates are: March 26, June 18, Labor Day (Sept. 1), Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Through our feeding program, our mission is to provide food to households threatened by food insecurity doing the holiday season

Description

Over the past five years, volunteers have helped with Feeding A Community. Along with Feeding A Community, we help combat hunger in Houston by providing food products and resources to households threatened with food insecurity. Community feedings will utilize 50 - 200 volunteers. Apartment communities food distributions can utilize up to 100 volunteers. Volunteers are our greatest resource and fill a variety of positions to keep things running smoothly.
