The Development Team will be in charge of coordinating WalkFest fundraising activities by building relationships with potential sponsors and donors to secure donations, both monetary and in-kind, to support the 2016 WalkFest to be held on September 17, 2016.

Responsibilities:

• Create implementation plan, to include priorities and goals for fundraising programs
• Attend regular WalkFest Leadership meetings to report on behalf of team
• Manage a team of volunteers
• Oversee efforts to collect both monetary and in-kind donations (e.g., food and drinks for distribution at event, T-shirts, prizes)
• Develop list of businesses and organizations for potential sponsorships and donations; track all sponsorship outreach activities and WalkFest team relationship owners

Qualifications

• Previous fundraising and/or marketing experience
• Organized & detail oriented
• Intermediate technology skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• Basic anti-human trafficking knowledge
