Calling all Nurses and Retired Nurses!
If you are a nurse and would like to volunteer some of your time with hospice patients,
we would love to hear from you!
Have you been thinking about ways in which you can give back? Are you interested in helping others?
Do you enjoy spending time with a variety of people?
If you answered yes to any of these, the Friendly Visitor Volunteer opportunities at ProMedica/Heartland Hospice may be a perfect fit for you!
We are currently seeking volunteers to make Friendly Visits to our Patients with terminal illnesses, to offer Stimulation, Companionship, and Friendly Support.
NO HANDS-ON CARE IS REQUIRED!
Volunteers socialize with patients and can join them in fun activities WITHOUT giving on-hands care.
You can set your own schedule and designate what geographic areas you are and are not willing to travel to.
Our office is located in Irwin, PA and we serve patients throughout all of Westmoreland County, the Eastern part of Allegheny County, and sections of Fayette County.

The hospice program stresses human values beyond the physical needs of the patient. Hospice ensures patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.
