MY NEIGHBORHOOD MOBILE GROCERY
Gleaners is beginning an exciting program called My Neighborhood Mobile Grocery (MNMG). It’s a nutritionally focused, mobile pop-up grocery retail model that will provide SNAP (food stamp) recipients with a new and innovative shopping option within their communities. Offering a limited, competitively priced product mix that balances client choice with nutritional products, educational programming, and free food give-a-ways to incentivize increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, MNMG will extend the purchasing power of SNAP shoppers and together with the educational component, drive better health outcomes. MNMG proceeds will be used to fund the pop-up grocery and associated educational operations and the incentive programs. Volunteers needed to assist as greeters, order takers, order fillers and Loading assistances.
