Volunteer as a Reading Tutor for students at Arlington Elementary School Monday-Thursday from 3:45-5:00 pm. 1st-3rd grade students who are falling behind in reading are enrolled in the All-Star Readers program where they are paired up with a tutor. Together, the student and tutor work through the reading kit designed to help students reach their reading grade level.
A few hours a week can make a difference in the life of a child. Help us fulfill our mission in Tacoma to empower students to stay in school and achieve in life!

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
