AARP Foundation is implementing Fresh Savings, a new SNAP incentive and nutrition education program at farmers’ markets in Tennessee.
The Fresh Savings program will encourage SNAP consumers to purchase more fruits and vegetables with their SNAP benefits by offering matching incentives.
Volunteer responsibilies:
Help implement Fresh Savings at your local farmers’ market during the market’s operating hours.
This includes greeting SNAP consumers, answering questions, distributing and redeeming incentive tokens, and helping with data reporting.
Plus getting to know your local market’s vendors who will be accepting the SNAP incentives.
