Description
At Advocate Hospice, You can help to make every day count by bringing joy, decreasing anxiety and enhancing the patient and family's quality of life. Our committed volunteers help patients and families in a number of ways list below. There are many ways to help as a Hospice Volunteer. We help you find he right fit for your unique interest, skills and abilities.
Patient Support - Visit patients' home, nursing home or assisted living to offer a smile and companionship, share stories, play games, music, watch movies, solve puzzles, read aloud and much more. Share your musical talents by playing or singing for patients, families and caregivers.
Comfort Care - companionship, being a compassionate listener, emotional support.
Respite Care - Provide respite time for caregivers to get out of the house or enjoy some downtime.
Bereavement Support - Assist families with grief after losing their precious family member.
We Honor Veteran - Veterans share their military experiences while visiting with other veterans.
Office Support - Help out with general clerical duties at the Advocate Health at Home office.
