STEM volunteer

Serve as a POSITIVE ROLE MODEL for YOUTH in the community and ignite their interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

As a volunteer mentor, you will:

  • Be matched with a group of 4 youth ages 6-9
  • Meet with your group for one hour each week with other volunteers and staff
  • Connect with your mentees through fun, hands-on activities like building a motorized LEGO(r) model, playing sports to practice math skills, and learning aboutenvironmental conservation
  • Build caring relationships with your mentees that help them reach their goals

Description

Boys & Girls Clubs of the TN Valley (BGCTNV) works to enhance the quality of life for our members through programs involving eduction, career devlopment, physical recreation, food and life skills programs.

We are currently serving over 7,200 ages 5 to 17 years, in the Tennessee Valley area, including Knox County, Blount County, Loudon County and North Anderson County.
