Purpose: Young professionals (age 21 to 40) involved as a New Friend may be invited to serve on the Junior Board. Such invitations will be dependent upon the commitment to EAA exhibited through participation in New Friends direct service activities and success in reaching out to friend, business, and alumni networks to introduce EAA to young professionals who are interested in volunteerism,non-profitservice and philanthropy.

Optional - Mission or purpose statement: Evolving Arts of America encourages youth ages 10-17 to develop their creative potentials through the arts. We provide an environment in which children can feel free to imagine, create, and welcome the arts into their lives. Evolving Arts provides a professional work environment that is challenging, rewarding, creative and respectful of ideas of individuals. We want to inspire pro social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and instill a sense of hope in the future. We at Evolving Arts would also like to empower youth and individuals to establish goals in life and also follow through on commitments. Most of all, we want to surround youths in a caring inclusive learning environment in the arts.

*Major responsibilities:

Expectations for Junior Board Members

* Participate in two EAA direct service activities annually (3-6 hours each, depending upon the activity).

* Give or get a minimum of $250 annually. Direct contributions may be paid quarterly or in monthly installments. Tickets to events are considered part of the give/get requirement.

* Attend 3 out of 4 regular Junior Board meetings per year.

* Introduce new people to EAA Junior Board events.

* Attend two yearly fundraising/cultivation events.

* Send invitations to alumni networks, professional groups, etc.; commit to bring at least 5 guests to each event.

* Reach out to corporations/other businesses to secure support for direct service activities, such as local outings for kids served by EAA, and for event-related activities (raffle prizes, silent auction items, sponsored tickets, etc.).

* Work with EAA development staff to secure entrée to corporate contributions officers to pave the way for larger corporate support to LSA and its annual Gala.

Evolving Arts Provides Programs for At-Risk and Undeserved Middle and High school Youth. The Program Creates Partnerships with Local School Districts. Evolving Arts Has Five Mentoring Programs in the Arts. Dance, Art, Music, Film and Fashion including Academic Support.We provide an environment in which children can feel free to imagine, create and welcome the Arts into their Lives.
