The South Park Senior Center are partnering with Medical Team International (MTI) to provide dental treatment for our seniors and homeless seniors, on Dec 7, 2017, from 9am to 2pm. The goal of having the mobile dental clinic this time, is that we will be able to provide convenient and FREE dental services for elders in the South Park neighborhood, as well as the surrounding area. If we can achieve our target for this time, we might be able obtain new grants and funding to run this program every 1-2 times per years.
We need a very organized volunteer, who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of seniors and homeless seniors through their dedication to this program. Tasks include:
- Helping clients to fill-up the enrollment packets, and provide assistance to seniors who have difficulty to completing the enrollment forms.
- Verifying that all pages in the enrollment packets are completed, such as the medical history and financial questions, and informing the Dentist if senior client has any concerns.
- If you are a dental assistant, you could even help us more on that! Please contact us for more information!
This is also an excellent opportunity for dental students and we highly encouraged you to apply. While in this event you will only be able to get up to 7 hours of hands on experience, but after the enrollment you will be able to volunteer with MTI for other events within the area! Let us know if you have any concerns or questions :)
