Support playdates at the library with Moms that have served in the military

Work with library staff, volunteers, veterans, and veteran service organizations, to plan, promote, and execute Playdates between moms that have served in the military and their children (ages 5 years old and under).
Serve as a point of contact to veterans and veteran families to ensure they know how to get connected to the state and federal benefits and services they have earned through military service.
Time Commitment: 2.5 hours per week. Fridays from 1pm to 3:30pm ideal.
Length of Commitment: April 2017 to September 2017 for this project. Can be extended.
Training: Required training is provided via online training modules available at www.calibrariesforveterans.org. Additional training is offered by library supervisor and via webinars or on-ground workshops from CalVet or other Veteran Service Organizations on as needed basis.
Benefits of Volunteering: Honor veteran's service. Training and experience in interviewing, needs assessment, and information and referral.
