It's time to beef up your resume and put your career skills to work. Join our team of volunteer Market Managers at the Fairfax County Farmers Markets.

Duties:
The primary Market Manager duties includes to open and close the markets, and serve as the face of the Farmers Market Program to customers and vendors. The Market Manager helps promote the markets and answer questions of the customers who visit. They monitor safety and help resolve minor issues or report incidents.

Qualifications:
Volunteers should be outgoing, passionate about buying local, and enthusiastic about connecting community members with local farmers and producers. Must offer a three month to one year commitment.

Purpose:
This volunteer opportunity is a fun way to help bring fresh, healthy, local produce to your community while supporting local farmers. The 10 farmers markets overseen by the Fairfax County Park Authority are run by our team of Market Manager volunteers. It is these volunteers who make it possible for the market to function, providing on the ground support to ensure markets run smoothly.
