About The Urban Interface

Location:

Mission Statement

The Urban Interface is an educational and conservation based organization dedicated to the careful stewardship of wildlife, human development, and the vision of creating a more balanced and sustainable Community between the two.

Description

At our core, we exist to provide education regarding ecology, biology and the importance of the natural world in today’s suburban environment while striving to provide relief and care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife in our area. Like the forestry term we are named after, The Urban Interface strives to be a mediator between wild lands and urban development, providing the opportunity for people to engage with nature and wildlife in a unique and safe environment that protects both parties and encourages healthy growth on both sides.

The Urban Interface is a young 501(c)3 in its emergence phase. The company is fundraising towards the development and establishment of a permanent structure and facility. The Startup costs are being provided by the directors, donors, and generous investors. The ideas and organizational structure have been fully developed, and the business has successfully raised money to establish required educational permits, non-profit status, and build an enclosure to house additional educational ambassador animals.
