Volunteers are needed to serve as Lab assistants/mentors in ISAAC, our-in-lab program which provides middle and high school students with a rare opportunity to become immersed in an authentic laboratory environment and investigate real-world STEM problems. Volunteers guide students as they work through science experiments and introduce them to a to a wide variety of 21 st Century STEM career options. You do not need to be scientist or STEM professional to volunteer . We have instructors and assistant instructors who are subject-matter experts and lead the day’s experiments. All you need is a genuine curiosity in science and a passion to help children achieve their best! It's a great way to give back and support STEM education in New Jersey.

Volunteers are needed weekdays from 8:30 AM-2:30 PM. Some half-days are available. You can volunteer for as many days as your schedule permits.

Mission Statement
Students 2 Science, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) model program in New Jersey that bridges the needs of the public and private sectors. Our mission is to inspire, motivate, and educate elementary, middle and high school students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM subjects). We do so by providing authentic, state-of- the-art laboratory experiences complete with modern instrumentation and pairing students with professional scientists. Additionally, we offer a remote, web-based virtual STEM experience that eliminates geographic and language constraints, broadening our reach to serve a wider audience. Teams of students, working collaboratively with scientific and STEM professionals who serve as role models, solve real life problems while being introduced to a wide variety of 21st century STEM career opportunities.

Students 2 Science, Inc., is a New Jersey non-profit corporation inspiring, motivating, and educating students to pursue car eers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Encouraging STEM subjects is especially important for minority, underrepresented, inner city and female students who traditionally have considered these fields of study to be out of reach.
