Love antiques? Want to have fun while giving back to your community? Help us turn antiques into food for people in need in our community by volunteering at our store! http://fftantiques.com/ Food For Thought Antiques is owned and operated by Food For Thought--Sonoma County Food Bank. The antique store was bequeathed to the food bank by supporter J. Randall Thompson. His hope was that his gift would provide an ongoing source of income for Food For Thought. Through generous donations and community support we have been able to keep that dream a reality. The food bank, located in Forestville, was founded in 1988 and since then has provided a free weekly selection of groceries, canned and boxed food, fresh produce (some from the food bank's own organic garden), and nutritional supplements to people affected by HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses in Sonoma County.

Mission Statement
To foster health and healing with food and compassion
Description
Food For Thought is a nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving nutrition support to low-income people living with COVID-19, HIV and other serious illnesses across Sonoma County. For more than 30 years, we have engaged in service to our community to provide healthy food to our neighbors in need. A group of friends in Guerneville founded FFT in 1988 amidst the AIDS epidemic to provide groceries to our seriously ill neighbors. Over time, we have shifted our focus from providing end-of-life care to providing comprehensive nutrition services, and we have expanded our eligibility to those affected by a wide range of serious illnesses.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for our programs has skyrocketed. In 2020, FFT brought healthy food to more than 4,000 people in Sonoma County.
